Police probe shooting at Alabama's Auburn University Jun 10th 2012, 15:49 BIRMINGHAM, Ala | Sun Jun 10, 2012 11:49am EDT BIRMINGHAM, Ala (Reuters) - A pool party at an off-campus apartment complex near Alabama's Auburn University turned violent late Saturday night when a gunman opened fire on partygoers, resulting in multiple injuries, the Opelika-Auburn News reported. Police would not provide additional information until a news conference scheduled for later on Sunday, an Auburn Police Department employee said. Unconfirmed reports indicated at least three unidentified people were wounded at the University Heights apartment complex, home to numerous Auburn University students. A spokesman at East Alabama Medical Center referred inquiries to Auburn police as did Auburn University police.
